We like the mind map we have received for our keyword. As a response, we have categorized the related words in four categories and add another category. Then, we add new keywords to each category in red. We would like to emphasize two points:
· Our friends are quite right in having the keyword ‘east’ in the mind map as shadow theatre originates from the East. However, in the response we add ‘west’ as the shadow theatre is a type of puppetry which is also a part of Western culture (Balme, 8).
· As Taylor suggests in her article ’The Archive and the Repertoire’, we learn and transmit knowledge through embodied action. Thus, an ancient performance like shadow theatre is also linked with transmission of knowledge from generation to generation (cultural heritage) and memory.
